Limited Scope Representation

In addition to our primary services, the Divorce Shoppe is able to assist clients who find themselves in a contested case, but do not want full service legal representation. The Divorce Shoppe will work with only one spouse and will NOT appear as your attorney of record or attend any court proceedings on your behalf. We can help you navigate the conventional court system and prepare for your hearing or trial. We can assess your case and provide guidance and legal advice regarding the contested issues in your situation. We can help you organize your case for your hearing and review your legal paperwork before you file the documents with the court. This option can be particularly helpful for clients who wish to take advantage of Oregon’s

Clients selecting this option will review and sign a client contract that specifically describes the services the Divorce Shoppe will perform. It is important to understand that this is a limited representation and that the Divorce Shoppe will not take on additional work on behalf of a limited representation client without a new client contract that, again, specifically identifies what work we will do on your behalf.

Limited representation is not for everyone and some cases do require a full-service attorney. We can help you decide what level of service is right for your case and how to best use our limited representation service if it is appropriate.
